Salvation Army Atlantic Ave. the first visit of 2009....

After I made a Greek Moosewood Resturaunt fritatta for breakfast, and fueled a slight hangover with coffee and juice...being that this is a new year and the start of this new blog, i figured a trip to the ol' Salvation Army was in order. I like to work with "what's in my wallet" type of budget, and this morning it happened to be $11 cash, so that's what i could spend, no more than that. First thrift shopping tip is see what the half off ticket color is for the day, today it was yellow.

I love these hilarious things that you come across while browsing....You wonder what possessed a person to buy these things in the first place, and what was the deciding factor on getting rid of it, and donating it to the Salvation Army?

I came out with 3 items, 2 of the 3 were half off yellow ticket prices. The item that was not half off was of fancy label, and a vintage design...Gloria Vanderbilt, and still just marked at $2.99. A kilt for an upcoming Robbie Burns celebration, and another cream colored, vintage wintery sweater, with my ever-so favorite style, the princess puff sleeve. Not bad for $7.46.
